Arellano's Pauline De Guzman joins Petro Gazz

Arellano University's Pauline De Guzman is now pro-bound as she signed with the Petro Gazz Angels in the Premier Volleyball League.

The Angels announced De Guzman's signing on Thursday, along with De La Salle University's Jules Tolentino.

"The rookie chapter begins… and trust us, it’s going to be a good one," Petro Gazz said in its social media post.

De Guzman went undrafted in this year's PVL Draft but was eventually picked up as a free agent.

De Guzman, a 23-year old opposite hitter, ranked 25th in scoring at the end of the elimination round with a total of 176 points and was among the league's best spikers with a success rate of 29.56%.

In Petro Gazz, she will reunite with former teammate Donnalyn Paralejas as the Angels aim for another title.
