Kobe Shinwa beats Cignal, nears PVL Invitational finals

Kobe Shinwa University defeated Cignal, 25-7, 25-18, 19-25, 27-25, in the PVL Invitational Conference on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to near a spot in the finals.

Nagisa Komatsuda had 21 points from 19 attacks, a block, and an ace, while Arisu Ishikawa and Kokoro Yasuma had 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Roselyn Doria-Aquino had 16 points to lead Cignal, while Erika Santos had 11 points.

With the victory, Kobe Shinwa improved to 3-1, while Cignal slipped to 1-4 to end its campaign.

The winner of the match between Kobe Shinwa and Chery Tiggo on Friday will determine the finalist which will face PLDT in the finals.
