Davison stars as PLDT beats ZUS, completes sweep of PVL Invitational elims

Savi Davison put up 26 points and 12 digs to tow PLDT past ZUS Coffee, 24-26, 25-17, 25-17, 25-14, in the PVL Invitational Conference on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Aside from her double-double, Davison also had seven excellent receptions as the High Speed Hitters completed a 5-0 sweep of the elimination round. Kim Dy had 13 points, while Mika Reyes and Dell Palomata had 11 points apiece.

Wielyn Estoque, meanwhile, led the Thunderbelles with 15 points, as they remained winless in four games.

ZUS will still face Creamline on Friday to cap its season.

PLDT, meanwhile, will wait for the winner of the match between Kobe Shinwa and Chery Tiggo on Friday to determine its finals opponent.
