Kobe Shinwa sets up PVL Invitational finals vs PLDT

Kobe Shinwa University sealed its spot in the PVL Invitational Finals after defeating Chery Tiggo, 21-25, 17-25, 26-24, 25-22, 15-6, on Friday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

With the win, the Japan-based squad ended the elimination round with a 4-1 record, while the Crossovers finished with a 3-2 record.

Nagisa Komatsuda erupted for 31 points from 29 attacks and two blocks, while Kokoro Yasuma had 16 points.

Ara Galang, meanwhile, had 19 points in the losing effort.

Kobe Shinwa will face PLDT in the finals on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Creamline defeated ZUS Coffee, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21.

Jema Galanza had 18 points, 11 digs, and 13 excellent receptions to lead the Cool Smashers, while Alyssa Valdez had nine points, and nine digs.

Chery Tiggo and Crealine (1-3) will face off in the battle for third, while ZUS ended the tournament winless.
