PVL: Cignal hands ZUS Coffee its first loss in Reinforced Conference

Cignal handed ZUS Coffee its first loss in the PVL Reinforced Conference, 25-12, 26-24, 25-23, on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Erika Santos led the way for the Super Spikers with 19 points built on 13 attacks, three blocks, and three aces, while import Katrin Trebichavska added 13 points.

Anna DeBeer was the lone double-digit scorer for the Thunderbelles, finishing with 26 points, as the local players were limited in production — with Thea Gagate contributing five points.

This marked Cignal’s second consecutive win after defeating Akari last November 6, improving their record to 4-3, while ZUS Coffee remained on top of the Pool C standings at 6-1.
