PVL: Creamline sweeps Choco Mucho to officially book QF spot; Akari keeps Nxled winless

Creamline took down Choco Mucho in straight sets, 25-17, 25-17, 25-23, on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to officially secure a spot in the PVL Reinforced Conference quarterfinals.

Reinforcement Courtney Schwan powered the Cool Smashers with 15 points built on 12 attacks, two blocks, and an ace. Michele Gumabao and Tots Carlos chipped in nine and eight points, respectively, in the match that wrapped up in just an hour and 18 minutes.

Isa Molde paced the Flying Titans with 11 points, while import Anyse Smith added five.

With the win, Creamline improved to 5-2, while Choco Mucho fell to 2-5.

Earlier, Akari kept Nxled winless in the conference after a straight-sets victory, 25-13, 25-17, 25-22.

Annie Mitchem led the Chargers with 22 points, while Grethcel Soltones contributed 12 as Akari improved to 4-3.

For the Chameleons, import Paola Martinez and local May Lumahan each scored 10 points, as Nxled dropped to 0-7.
