PVL: PLDT, ZUS Coffee complete Reinforced Conference semifinals cast

PLDT kept its three-peat bid alive after overcoming Cignal in four sets, 25-21, 25-18, 23-25, 25-21 in their quarterfinals bout in the 2025 PVL Reinforced Conference on Monday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. 

The High Speed Hitters, eager to follow through with their back-to-back titles during the PVL On Tour and Invitational Conference, are now through to the semifinals against ZUS Coffee, which earlier swept Capital1 to book its first-ever semis appearance. 

Savi Davison was in her element, dropping 21 points and collecting 13 receptions while import Anastasiia Bavykina registered 15 markers anchored on 12 attacks, two blocks, and one ace laced with 12 digs and six receptions to power PLDT. 

PLDT will now test its mettle against the second-seeded Thunderbelles, who stand in the way of their three-peat aspirations. 

ZUS earlier asserted its dominance over Capital1 with Anna DeBeer carrying the fight for the Jerry Yee-mentored squad with 24 points that she spiked with eight digs and seven receptions. 

"Credit to Cignal, pinush ulit nila kami lalo nu'ng nakuha nila 'yung third set. Happy lang ako na from the loss to Petro Gazz, nag-respond ulit 'yung players sa preparations sa game ngayon," PLDT head coach Rald Ricafort said. 

"Na-feel namin 'yung challenge, 'yung bigat pero na-overcome naman namin. Very happy na nakagawa lahat."
