PVL: Strong Group gets stronger after signing Ara Galang
Strong Group Athletics continued to load up this offseason after securing the services of Ara Galang, adding another proven weapon to an already stacked roster ahead of the upcoming PVL season.
The organization announced Galang's arrival on Thursday as the veteran opposite spiker can suit up with either ZUS Coffee or Farm Fresh, which are both owned by SGA.
Galang is coming off stints with F2 Logistics and Chery Tiggo, both of which recently announced their disbandment, forcing the veteran spiker to seek a new home.
The 31-year-old wing spiker had the longest run with the Cargo Movers before joining Chery Tiggo early last year. She would help the Crossovers to a finals appearance during the PVL On Tour in August 2025, but they fell to PLDT in the championship round.
Months later, the club announced its exit from the professional scene.
Galang was the latest signing of SGA after her Chery Tiggo teammates Mylene Paat and Imee Hernandez as well as former Petro Gazz aces Remy Palma and Chie Saet.
SGA also recently acquired Royse Tubino and Bia General.
