PVL: Akari signs three new players ahead of All-Filipino Conference

Akari is charging up ahead of the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season after signing Cza Carandang, Jyne Soreño, Judith Abil.

The signings are expected to fill the void left by Camille Victoria, Ezra Madrigal, and Erika Raagas, all of whom were let go by the club the past few days.

Carandang and Soreño were both part of the defunct Chery Tiggo club and are tipped to bolster Akari with the veteran middle blocker bringing in her experience to Chargers' frontcourt together with Fifi Sharma and Ced Domingo.

Soreño, meanwhile, will be an added wing spiker for the Chargers, joining the likes of Grethcel Soltones, Faith Nisperos, Chenie Tagaod, and Ivy Lacsina.

Abil will also add depth to Akari's weapon as the seasoned player closed out her run with the Cignal Super Spikers, where she suited up as both spiker and libero.

With a new-look squad, the Chargers are looking to secure their breakthrough PVL title following a runner-up and a pair of third-place finishes in the past conferences.
