PVL: Galeries Tower acquires Aiza Maizo-Pontillas in major roster shakeup
After letting go of the majority of its previous roster, Galeries Tower landed a highly-touted veteran spiker in Aiza Maizo-Pontillas as the club gears up for the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The High Risers officially announced Maizo-Pontillas’ arrival on Monday, continuing a major roster shakeup that has already resulted in the release of 13 players.
Maizo-Pontillas, a decorated opposite spiker, previously ended a three-year stint with Petro Gazz after the Angels announced their leave of absence from the league.
The 37-year-old ace will now join the likes of holdovers Julia Coronel, Jean Asis, Winnie Bedaña, and Roselle Baliton as the young High Risers look to improve from their back-to-back last-place finishes last year.
Aside from Maizo-Pontillas, Galeries had already announced the signings of Blove Barbon, Erika Raagas, Juju Angeles, Lycha Ebon, Dolly Versoza, Camille Victoria, Erika Deloria, Shar Ancheta, and Shola Alvarez.
