Cignal Super Spikers to take leave from Spikers’ Turf
Powerhouse squad Cignal Super Spikers has filed a leave of absence for the upcoming Spikers’ Turf Open Conference.
Cignal announced the decision on Friday.
“This difficult decision was made after a careful review by management of Cignal’s current and future plans,” the team said in a statement.
“The Cignal Super Spikers organization is deeply grateful to its coaches, players, and staff.”
Since joining the league in 2015, Cignal has won nine titles. In 2025 alone, the Super Spikers captured the Open Conference championship and finished third in the Invitational Conference.
The Super Spikers are not the first team to recently file a leave of absence.
Petro Gazz also announced its withdrawal from the All-Filipino Conference, which opens on Saturday, while Chery Tiggo recently ended its 11-year run in the PVL.
