PVL: New-look Nxled outlasts Farm Fresh in thriller; Capital1 survives ZUS Coffee


PVL volleyball: NXLED Chameleons

Nxled and Capital1 survived different foes to kick off their respective campaigns in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the FilOil EcoOil Centre. 

New-look Nxled, now bannered mostly by players from the defunct Petro Gazz, pulled off a 25-23, 13-25, 21-25, 25-15, 15-12 win against Farm Fresh to begin their new journey. 

Three-time MVP Brooke Van Sickle felt right at home with Nxled, erupting for 20 points built on 18 attacks and two blocks together with 11 receptions while fellow former Petro Gazz star Myla Pablo churned out 19 markers and six digs. 

In the second game, Bella Belen picked up where she left off and helped Capital1 eke out a 25-17, 250-16, 15-25, 25-19 win over ZUS Coffee. 

Belen detonated for 26 points anchored on 24 attacks and two service aces she laced with 16 digs and seven receptions while Shaya Adorador and Ysa Jimenez chipped in 14 and 13 markers each. 

Capital1 and Nxled both improved to 1-0 while the Foxies and the Thunderbelles went 0-1.
