PVL: PLDT sweeps Creamline to open All-Filipino campaign; Cignal gets back-to-back wins

PLDT opened its PVL All-Filipino Conference campaign with a straight-sets victory over Creamline, 25-22, 25-17, 25-23, on Thursday at the Filoil Centre in San Juan.

Savi Davison led the High Speed Hitters with a triple-double performance of 26 points, 11 digs, and 10 receptions, emerging as PLDT’s lone double-digit scorer. Kianna Dy chipped in nine points in the win.

For the Cool Smashers, Bernadeth Pons and Tots Carlos finished with 13 and 11 points, respectively, in the losing effort.

Meanwhile, Cignal secured its second straight victory after defeating Choco Mucho, 25-20, 16-25, 25-19, 25-18.

Erika Santos paced the HD Spikers with 18 points, while Vanie Gandler and Jacqueline Acuña added 16 and 13 points, respectively.

The win spoiled a 20-point outing from Sisi Rondina for the Flying Titans. Lorraine Pecaña, Eya Laure, and Dindin Manabat contributed 12, 11, and 10 points, respectively, as Choco Mucho dropped to a 1-1 record.
