Tai Bundit officially named new Alas Pilipinas Women head coach

Thai coach Tai Bundit has been appointed as the new head coach of Alas Pilipinas Women.

Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) president Tonyboy Liao confirmed the development to GMA News Online on Saturday.

“Yes, he was appointed by the PNVF Executive Board,” Liao said in a message.

Bundit is no stranger to Philippine volleyball, having previously handled several championship teams in the country.

He coached the Ateneo de Manila University women’s volleyball team to its first UAAP championship in Season 76, then led the Lady Eagles to a repeat title in Season 77.

Bundit also guided the Creamline Cool Smashers to three Premier Volleyball League (PVL) championships before returning to Thailand.

In 2024, he made his return to the Philippines and led Criss Cross to its first-ever title in Spikers’ Turf.

Bundit will replace Jorge de Brito who handled the national team from 2021 to 2025.
