PVL: Galeries Tower snaps nearly year-long win Drought, outlasts ZUS Coffee; Nxled sweeps Capital1

Galeries Tower snapped an almost year-long win drought after outlasting ZUS Coffee in five sets, 25-20, 25-22, 23-25, 22-25, 15-10, on Saturday in the PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Ynares Center in Montalban, Rizal.

Erika Jin Deloria and Gayle Pascual led the Highrisers with 18 points apiece as Galeries secured its first victory in 345 days.

The High Risers last tasted a win on February 27, 2025, when they defeated Cignal to reach their first-ever quarterfinals appearance.

Chinnie Arroyo poured in 20 points for ZUS Coffee, which played without head coach Jerry Yee, who reportedly missed the match due to health reasons. Onyok Getigan took over coaching duties for the Thunderbelles.

With the win, Galeries improved to 1-1, while ZUS Coffee fell to 0-2.

Meanwhile, Nxled remained unbeaten after sweeping Capital1, 25-18, 28-26, 25-18.

Myla Pablo and Brooke Van Sickle finished with 15 points each for the Chameleons, while Lyann De Guzman added 13.

The victory spoiled a 23-point outing from Bella Belen as the Solar Spikers dropped to 1-1.
