NCAA men’s volleyball: San Beda sweeps San Sebastian for third straight win

San Beda University made quick work of San Sebastian College–Recoletos, cruising to a 25-17, 25-21, 25-23 victory to notch its third straight win in the NCAA Season 101 men’s volleyball tournament on Sunday at the San Andres Sports Complex.

The Red Spikers needed just 1 hour and 12 minutes to defeat the Stags, improving their record to 4-2 in Group B.

Axel Van Book once again led the Mendiola-based squad with 17 points, all off attacks, while also tallying 11 receptions. Ryan Rosman chipped in 11 points, and Anrie Bakil added 10.

Setter Dominic Castañeda delivered 20 of San Beda’s 23 excellent sets and scored a point of his own.

For San Sebastian, Kyle Villamor finished with 12 points, while Christian Alba contributed 10 as the Stags fell to 3-3 in Group A.
