PVL: Creamline breaks through in 2026 All-Filipino at expense of Choco Mucho

PVL All-Filipino 2026: Creamline Cool Smashers

Creamline barged into the 2026 PVL All-Filipino win column after pulling away in Set 4 to complete a 27-25, 17-25, 25-21, 25-15 victory over its sister team Choco Mucho on Tuesday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The Cool Smashers, who suffered a three-set upset loss to PLDT last week to kick off their campaign, relied on Tots Carlos and Bernadeth Pons in the fourth frame to improve to 1-1 while the Flying Titans fell to a 1-2 win-loss record.

Creamline’s 5–1 run to open the fourth set proved pivotal, especially after Choco Mucho suffered a major setback when Eya Laure was forced to leave the court after injuring herself while making a save at 9-5 mark.

Back-to-back points from Pons created a huge 18-9 cushion before Bea de Leon completed a quick kill off a perfect Jia de Guzman set, making it a 20-11 lead. But two consecutive errors from Pons and de Leon allowed Choco Mucho to trim its deficit to seve, 20-13.

Creamline, the winningest club in the league, showed its championship poise by responding with a 3-0 blast capped by a Jema Galanza attack for another 10-point advantage, 23-13.

Jeanette Panaga brought them to the match point after unloading a heavy quick attack before Carlos swung from the right side and unleashed an emphatic kill to close it out.

Cignal def. Farm Fresh

In the first game, Cignal claimed the solo lead in the standings after escaping a gritty Farm Fresh, 25-17, 26-24, 20-25, 30-28.

The Super Spikers found themselves in a difficult position in the fourth set when a Jolina dela Cruz ace sent the Foxies to the set point, 24-22. But Cignal refused to be dragged to a fifth set as Vanie Gandler and Erika Santos powered a 3-0 blast, allowing them to take the first match point, 25-24.

Farm Fresh staged a resistance behind opposite hitter Trisha Tubu, whose two kills saved two match points for Foxies as they forced a 28-all deadlock in the extended set.

But Farm Fresh faded in the endgame with two consecutive errors as Cignal cruised to a 3-0 card while the Foxies fell to a 0-2 start.
