UAAP women’s volleyball: Shaina Nitura, Abegail Segui shine as Adamson sweeps Ateneo

Shaina Nitura delivered her usual dominant performance, while rookie Abegail Segui impressed in her debut as Adamson University swept Ateneo de Manila University, 25-19, 25-18, 25-10, in the UAAP Season 88 women's volleyball tournament on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

After fending off Ateneo in the first two sets, the Lady Falcons dominated the third, racing to a 16-1 advantage en route to the straight-sets victory.

Nitura finished with 16 points built on 15 attacks, while Frances Mordi added 14 markers.

Segui contributed eight points along with five digs as Adamson opened its campaign on a strong note.

No Ateneo player reached double figures, with Alexia Montoro pacing the Blue Eagles with five points.
