PVL: Creamline completes comeback vs. ZUS Coffee for back-to-back wins
Creamline shrugged off a slow start then unleashed a Set 4 rally to complete a 22-25, 25-17, 25-17, 25-18 win over ZUS Coffee in the 2026 PVL All-Filipino Conference on Tuesday at the Filoil Centre.
The Cool Smashers leaned on the veteran presence of seasoned setter Jia De Guzman and outside spiker Jema Galanza in the endgame to repel the Thunderbelles, improving to 2-1 while sending ZUS to 1-3.
The Set 1 loss served as a wake-up call for the multi-titled Creamline, regaining its form in the succeeding sets capped by a massive fightback in Set 4 to seal the come-from-behind win.
The Cool Smashers found themselves in a 6-12 hole in the fourth frame after Chinnie Arroyo brought ZUS Coffee to a six-point advantage with her cross-court kill.
However, Creamline refused to call it a day, unloading a 12-3 blast fueled by Bea De Leon, Bernadeth Pons, and Galanza as they flipped the switch with an 18-15 cushion.
Jeanette Panaga denied Fiola Ceballos from the left wing before Galanza supplied the finishing hits with three straight kills that gave Creamline a comfortable 23-17 advantage. Panaga's quick hammer clinched the match point while Arroyo's attack error officially sealed it for the Cool Smashers.
Pons led the show with 19 points while Carlos and Galanza contributed 12 and 11 points, respectively. De Guzman posted an all-around outing with 10 points and 25 excellent sets.
Arroyo took the scoring cudgels for ZUS with 18 points while middle blocker Thea Gagate chimed in with 11 markers.
