UAAP: Arah Panique’s 27-point explosion powers NU to reverse sweep vs FEU

National University completed a reverse sweep of Far Eastern University, 17-25, 16-25, 25-19, 25-21, 15-12, in the UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball tournament on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Arah Panique erupted for a career-high 27 points built on 23 attacks, three blocks, and one ace to steer the Lady Bulldogs to their third straight victory.

After dropping the first two sets, NU regained its footing and dominated the next two frames to force a decider.

In the fifth set, the Lady Bulldogs trailed 7-11 before unleashing a 4-0 run to tie the match.

Faida Bakanke briefly restored FEU’s lead, but Sam Cantada sparked another 4-0 surge, with Panique delivering the final two points. FEU challenged for a net-touch fault but was deemed unsuccessful, sealing the win for NU.

Vange Alinsug added 15 points, all from attacks, while Cantada contributed 11 markers for NU.

Gerz Petallo paced the Lady Tamaraws with 14 points, while Cla Loresco chipped in 12. Alyzza Devosora and Jaz Ellarina finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively, as FEU slipped to 1-2.
