UAAP: FEU Lady Tamaraws bounce back at Adamson’s expense
Far Eastern University rebounded in the UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball tournament with a 22-25, 30-28, 25-17, 25-20 victory over Adamson University on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The win came after FEU suffered a loss to National University last February 21.
“Tiwala lang. Make sure na kahit nagkakamali ang team ko — wala namang gustong magkamali, more on kung paano lang sila makarecover. Hangga't hindi natatapos, tuloy lang. Test of character ‘yun ng bawat individual, bawat team,” said FEU head coach Tina Salak, as the extended second-set win proved to be the turning point for the Morayta-based squad.
Faida Bakanke paced the Lady Tamaraws with 22 points built on 17 attacks and five blocks, along with two digs. Alyzza Devosora added 18 points, 15 receptions, and seven digs.
The victory spoiled Shaina Nitura’s 24-point performance for the Lady Falcons, which came with 15 digs and 31 receptions. Frances Mordi and Lhouiz Tuddao contributed 19 and 12 points, respectively.
