UAAP: Vange Alinsug leads NU past Ateneo; FEU sweeps UP

Vange Alinsug powered National University past Ateneo de Manila University, 25-18, 25-18, 25-15, in the UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball tournament on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Alinsug finished with 18 points built on 14 attacks, three blocks, and an ace, along with seven digs and two receptions as the Lady Bulldogs improved to 5-1.

Sam Cantada also returned from a minor injury and contributed six points and seven receptions for NU.

Meanwhile, Far Eastern University swept the University of the Philippines, 25-13, 25-21, 25-16.

Alyzza Devosora scored 15 points, while Gerz Petallo added 13 points, eight digs, and eight receptions as the Lady Tamaraws improved to 4-2.

Joan Monares led the Fighting Maroons with eight points, while Casiey Dongallo managed four before exiting in the first set due to an apparent injury.

UP dropped to 3-2.
