NCAA: Kyle Villamor drops 32 as San Sebastian ousts JRU to reach QF

Kyle Villamor exploded for 32 points as San Sebastian College-Recoletos eliminated Jose Rizal University, 25-22, 21-25, 25-15, 25-18, in the NCAA Season 101 men’s volleyball play-in tournament on Friday at the San Andres Sports Complex in Manila.

Villamor powered the Golden Stags with 29 attacks and three blocks, while Rhenmart Christian Alba chipped in 11 points.

Harry Ocay and Paolo Barrientos paced the Heavy Bombers with 25 and 24 points, respectively.

With the victory, San Sebastian advances to the quarterfinals where it will face defending champion Arellano University Chiefs, which holds a twice-to-beat advantage, on Sunday.
