The UAAP Season 88 volleyball tournament has completed its first round of competition, with the standings beginning to take shape as the race for the Final Four intensifies.

Here are the team standings at the end of the first round:

Women’s Division

• University of Santo Tomas — 4–3

Men’s Division

• Far Eastern University — 7–0

• University of Santo Tomas — 5–2

Stats race leaders

University of Santo Tomas standouts Angge Poyos and Josh Ybañez lead the statistical points (SPs) race at the end of the first round.

In the women’s division, Poyos tops the list with 156.522 SPs, followed by Adamson University’s Shaina Nitura (147.200), De La Salle University’s Angel Canino (142.800), Adamson’s Frances Mordi (139.200), and Far Eastern University’s Gerz Petallo (137.500).

In the men’s division, Ybañez leads with 158.000 SPs, followed by National University’s Buds Buddin (153.750) and Leo Ordiales (152.083). Far Eastern University’s Dryx Saavedra (127.083) and Mikko Espartero (124.583) round out the top five.
