UAAP: La Salle beats Adamson to stay undefeated in eight games

De La Salle University defeated Adamson University, 25-19, 17-25, 25-23, 25-23, to remain undefeated in eight games in the UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball tournament on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Angel Canino led the Lady Spikers with 21 points from 20 attacks and an ace, along with 15 receptions as she closed out the victory for the Taft-based squad. Amie Provido, meanwhile, had 18 points on 12 attacks, five blocks, and an ace to provide help for the still undefeated squad.

The win spoiled Shai Nitura’s 23 points with 21 attacks and two blocks, along with 24 receptions and eight digs, while Frances Mordi had 21 points and 13 receptions as Adamson slipped to 4-4.
