UAAP: Adamson sweeps Ateneo to claim share of fourth in women’s volleyball

Adamson University swept Ateneo de Manila University, 25-17, 27-25, 25-16, in the UAAP Season 88 women’s volleyball tournament on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Lady Falcons improved to 5-4, moving into a tie for fourth place with University of Santo Tomas.

Shaina Nitura powered Adamson with 25 points and 15 receptions, while Frances Mordi added 15 points.

“For us, we need to be consistent always talaga sa aming ginagawa, especially galing kami sa talo nung nakaraan, so kailangan naming bumawi and kailangan naming mag-grind talaga nang todo, hard work so that makapasok kami sa Final Four,” said Adamson head coach JP Yude.

“Crucial games na ‘yung mga natitira so we need to be more consistent and mentally tough every time on how we will respond sa every situation.”

Geezel Tsunashima finished with nine points for Ateneo, which fell to 1-8.
