UAAP: NU sweeps Ateneo in men’s and women’s volleyball

National University completed a sweep of Ateneo de Manila University in both the men’s and women’s volleyball tournaments in UAAP Season 88 at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.

In the women’s division, the Lady Bulldogs dominated the Lady Eagles, 25–19, 25–16, 25–15, to bounce back from their previous loss to the Lady Tamaraws.

Arah Panique led NU with 13 points, while Vange Alinsug added six as the Lady Bulldogs improved to 7–3.

Geezel Tsunashima paced Ateneo with nine points, but the Lady Eagles dropped to 1–9.

In the men’s division, the Bulldogs also came out on top, defeating the Blue Eagles, 25–21, 25–22, 27–25.

Buds Buddin led NU with 19 points, while Leo Ordiales contributed 12 as the Bulldogs improved to 8–2.

Emman Okeke finished with 19 points and eight receptions for Ateneo, which fell to 5–5.
