Bella Belen named PVL Press Corps Rookie of the Year, best outside spiker

Bella Belen of the Capital1 Solar Spikers has been named as the rookie of the year of the PVL Press Corps, and also bannered the list for this year’s Mythical Team.

The outside spiker received 69 media votes and 26 team votes, along with 91.284 statistical points to claim the Rookie of the Year plum and bested the likes of AC Miner, Jean Asis, and Riza Nogales.

Aside from the Rookie of the Year plum, Belen was also named Best Outside Spiker.

Savi Davison (PLDT) is also named as one of the Best Outside Spikers, while Pangs Panaga (Creamline) and Majoy Baron (PLDT) are the Best Middle Blockers. Trisha Tubu (Farm Fresh) is the Best Opposite Spiker, while Kath Arado (PLDT) is the Best Libero.

Other awardees include: Rald Ricafort of PLDT (PVL Coach of the Year), Creamline (PVL Team of the Year), Tai Bundit of Criss Cross (Spikers' Turf Coach of the Year), Criss Cross (Spikers' Turf Team of the Year), Jonathan Ng of Rebisco (Executive of the Year), Erika Santos of Cignal (Most Improved Player), Kim Kianna Dy of PLDT (Comeback Player of the Year), and Alyssa Valdez of Creamline (Miss Quality Minutes).

King Cruncher Jude Garcia, meanwhile, was named Spikers' Turf MVP and one of the Best Outside Spikers. Joining him in the Mythical Team are teammates Noel Kampton (Best Outside Spiker), Adrian Villados (Best Setter), and Savouge's Giles. Torres and JP Bugaoan (Best Middle Blockers), and Mark Calado (Best Opposite Spiker).
