PVL cancels On Tour matches in Santiago City due to Maymay

The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) has cancelled its On Tour matches between ZUS Coffee and PLDT, and Capital1 and Creamline, which were scheduled to be held in Santiago City on Saturday, due to the effects of Tropical Depression Maymay.

In a statement, the league said the decision was made to ensure the safety of everyone involved in the event.

"We sincerely apologize to our fans in Santiago City and the rest of Isabela who were looking forward to the matches," PVL president Ricky Palou said.

"While we share everyone's disappointment, the safety of our fans, players, coaches, officials, and staff must always come first. We appreciate everyone's understanding and support during this time."

The PVL said it looks forward to returning to Santiago City for the All-Filipino Conference. It added that tickets purchased for the cancelled On Tour matches will be refunded accordingly.
