Farm Fresh escapes Capital1 in thriller to close out PVL On Tour run 

Farm Fresh banked on its veterans to pull away late and complete a 20-25, 25-19, 22-25, 25-12, 15-10 victory over Capital1 in the 2026 PVL On Tour at the Victorias City Coliseum in Negros Occidental.

Trisha Tubu starred while the seasoned tandem of Ces Molina and Ara Galang backstopped the star opposite hitter as the Foxies closed out their preseason run with a 2-1 win-loss card while the Solar Spikers ended up with a 0-2 record.

Tubu hammered it from the right wing that allowed Farm Fresh to open the deciding Set 5 with a 3-1 early lead, but Capital1, despite missing its stars Bella Belen, Vanie Gandler, and Erika Santos, showed its fighting spirit and pulled to within one after a Cherry Nunag running kill, 4-5.

Farm Fresh then unleashed a 3-0 run featuring a Paat kill and a Galang service ace before back-to-back hits from Molina helped the Foxies seize a crucial 11-6 cushion.

Capital1 rookie Khy Cepada had her moments, too, after halting that Farm Fresh run and sparking the Solar Spikers before the Foxies responded with two consecutive points off another Paat opposite kill and a drop shot from Molina, 13-7.

Molina clinched the match point after finishing a kill off a dig from Galang as the Foxies zoomed to a 14-9 advantage before Tubu delivered the final blow with a cross-court attack from the right side.

Tubu posted 24 points in the escape while Molina and Galang chipped in 16 and 14 markers apiece. Molina was also solid in other departments by grabbing 11 digs and 17 receptions to finish with a triple-double effort and give Farm Fresh a huge momentum heading into its next campaign.

"Isa lang naman din 'yugn reminder ni coach sa amin bago kami mag-warm up, gusto niyang umuwi nang panalo para kasi siyempre, maglalaro kami sa Invitationals, mataas 'yung confidence namin," Molina said.

"And of course hindi naman mangyayari 'yun without my teammates' help. Lahat nag-contribute, especially Ara off the bench."
