Water service interruptions loom in Pasig, Marikina, Cainta
Water service interruptions loom over three areas serviced by water concessionaire Manila Water in eastern Metro Manila and part of Rizal on Thursday and Friday. In an advisory, Manila Water said this was due to the upgrading and declogging of its facilities in Pasig and Marikina Cities, and in Cainta in Rizal province. "Manila Water Company is advising all residents of the said areas to store enough water to supply their needs during the interruption period," it said. The first water interruption is scheduled from 10 p.m. Thursday to 2 a.m. Friday in Cainta. The San Isidro area will be affected, Manila Water said. It said this is due to a line meter declogging along San Isidro. A second water interruption is scheduled from 10 p.m. Thursday to 3 a.m. Friday in Marikina City, due to line meter declogging along Riverside, Marymount and Melbourne Streets in Provident Village, Marikina. Affected areas include Jesus dela Peña and Taniong villages in Marikina. The third interruption is scheduled from 11 p.m. Thursday to 4 a.m. Friday in Pasig City, due to a line meter replacement along N. Cruz corner San Agustin, Pasig City. This will affect the Pinagbuhatan area. â LBG, GMA News
