King of Comedy Dolphy underwent dialysis and received blood transfusion Monday after resting from medical procedures over the weekend.

In a report on GMA News TV’s QRT, Mariz Umali said that Dolphy’s kidneys remain weak, though his other vital organs are alright.

“Maayos din ang lahat sa kanyang vital organs, maliban sa kanyang kidneys na mahina pa rin kaya ipagpapatuloy ngayong araw ang dialysis,” she said.

Dolphy’s platelet count also remains low, which is why he receives blood transfusions, Umali reported.

Dolphy has also been responding well to his family, despite not being able to speak yet because of a tracheal tube attached to his neck that allows him to breathe easier.

“Madalas din pong gising at nakakatugon o nakakaintindi si Dolphy sa pakikipag-usap sa kanya ng kamag-anak,” Umali said.

According to the report, the Quizon family and Makati Medical Center did not hold a press conference today because Dolphy’s condition has not changed much from the past week.
