Big time drug suspect falls in Pangasinan
Police in Pangasinan province arrested over the weekend a woman from Marawi City in Mindanao, whom they described as a big-time drug suspect. Sun-Star Pangasinan (www.sunstar.com.ph) reported Tuesday that the suspect was identified as Nora Deron alias Nora Macanpol, a resident of Bonuan Tondaligan in Dagupan City. Local police said Deron is in their watchlist as one of the drug pushers operating not only in the city but of the entire Pangasinan province. A team of Dagupan police and Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) operatives conducted a test buy in Deronâs house Sunday morning to confirm the suspectâs drug pushing activities. An undercover policeman bought from the suspect P200 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) that was placed in a sealed plastic sachet. On Sunday afternoon of the same day, another undercover policeman went to Deron to buy P1,000 worth of shabu. The policemen announced the arrest after the suspect handed down a sealed plastic sachet that contained suspected shabu to the poseur buyer. Confiscated form Deron was 24.2 grams of suspected shabu.
