Rene Requiestas lookalike tagged in robbery of beauty queen, character actor

A beauty queen and a character actor became the latest victims of so-called "riding in tandem" motorcycle-riding robbers, one of the suspects the victims described as resembling a deceased comedian.

Miss Philippines Earth 2013 Angelee Claudett delos Reyes and three others on Saturday night were robbed by criminals in San Juan City, radio dzBB's Paulo Santos reported Sunday.

Citing initial police report, the dzBB said the incident occurred between 10:45 and 11 p.m. in front of an eatery at Abad Santos Street in Barangay Little Baguio.

With delos Reyes were Joseph Smisek a.k.a. Yussef Esteves, a character actor; and one Alma and Cliff.

They described the suspects as riding a black XRM-type motorcycle without license plates, with the back rider 5'4" to 5'6" tall and looking like the late comedian Rene Requiestas and wearing a black helmet, black jacket and denim shorts.

Stolen from them were a black Oakley sling bag with P800 cash, an iPhone 5 worth P35,000 and a MyPhone A919 mobile phone worth P8,500, along with a pair of sunglasses worth P15,000, four books and condo keys.

The police report also showed the four had just come out of the eatery and were standing in front of the restaurant when the suspects arrived and the "Rene Requiestas lookalike" alighted and pointed a gun at them.

"Hubarin mo ang bag mo! Ibigay mo sa akin (Take off your bag and give it to me)!" he supposedly told Smisek.

The two suspects then sped toward P. Guevarra Street, the report said. — LBG, GMA News
