A man fatally stabbed his own seven-year-old daughter in their home in Quezon City before dawn Tuesday—then posted a photo of the grisly crime online.
Police arrested Mark Alvin Manliclic shortly after the gruesome crime in their Fairview home, GMA News' Jay Sabale reported on "24 Oras."
The seven-year-old victim, Angel, died of multiple stab wounds, including those to the neck and trunk. Mark Alvin now faces parricide charges.
Investigation showed that before the killing, Manliclic had a spat with his wife, who is presently in Canada, during a chat on social networking site Facebook.
Manliclic reportedly got mad when he learned his wife had gone to Canada, as he thought she was going to Quezon province. He reportedly threatened to kill their daughter if she did not return home.
“Ang dahilan lang kasi, nagbabanta siya na kung di uuwi yung asawa niya na nasa ibang bansa papatayin niya yung bata,” said Inspector Elmer Monsalve, chief of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit.

The patriarch reportedly killed his daughter while drunk, then posted a photo of the victim's lifeless body on his Facebook account, supposedly for his wife to see.
