Shooting incident triggers brief lockdown at GenSan mall

A shooting incident triggered a brief lockdown at a mall in General Santos City, a television report said Monday.

 

Initial investigation showed a man fired at a vehicle inside the mall's parking lot, according to a report on Unang Balita.

 

One of the shots hit a woman inside the vehicle, the report said.

 

Because of the shooting, security personnel locked down the mall, not allowing people to leave while authorities conducted a security check.

 

Authorities eventually caught the suspected shooter, while the victim was brought to a hospital for treatment.
