CCTV catches man trying to steal car in Cagayan de Oro

A man was arrested after he was seen on closed-circuit television trying to steal a car in Cagayan de Oro City, a television report said Friday.

 

Police arrested Ronald Butron, 32, after his supposed attempt to steal the car at Toma Saco Street in Barangay Nazareth, GMA Northern Mindanao's Kaye Mercado reported.

 

The CCTV footage showed the suspect trying to open the driver's door but finding it locked.

 

But the car's owner, who saw the CCTV footage, alerted police who arrested Butron.

 

"Kitang-kita na malakas ang ulan tapos nag-attempt siyang buksan ang sasakyan. Pagdating naming sa area, nagbaliw-baliwan siya, nandoon pa siya malapit sa sasakyan," said Macasandig police deputy chief Senior Inspector Rixell Torayno.
