Finally, after a month long of fasting...today, Muslims all over the world celebrate one of the most important occasions in Islam-- the Eid'l Fitr.

The Eid'l Fitr is a Muslim holiday marking the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

It is a reward for muslims who pray and fast.

The celebration can be likened to Christmas. That is why during this festivity, we wear our best clothes. We eat, celebrate, and share gifts with our families and friends.

This is often the time of family reunions and gatherings with our loved ones.

Here in manila, Muslim families wearing their best clothes flock to public places like the Luneta and Quezon City Memorial Circle to pray together in celebration of the breaking of the fast. Then together, we will eat traditional Muslim food.

Colorful celebrations are also observed in various Muslim community in the Metro like the Golden Mosque in Quiapo and the Blue Mosque in Taguig.

Celebrations dont have to be lavish. What is more  important is, we celebrate God and we help the poor.

Eid mubarak to my muslim brothers and sisters!
