Dead newborn baby found in fast-food resto’s toilet in Naga City

(Updated 10:50 a.m.) Service crew of a fast-food restaurant were shocked when they discovered the body of a newborn baby in the trash can of a restroom inside the establishment in Naga City, Camarines Sur, a report on Unang Balita on Wednesday said.

The umbilical cord was still attached to the baby when the body was found.

Witnesses brought the baby to the hospital but efforts to revive the infant proved futile.

The report said the baby is eight months old.

Police are still conducting an investigation to identify the mother of the baby. —KG, GMA News
