If you've dreamed of swimming in a pool of rainbow sprinkles, then get thee to New York City. To celebrate July as National Ice Cream Month, the Museum of Ice Cream will soon pop up in Manhattan's Meatpacking District.

But don't take too long in visiting it—like all ice cream, the museum's delights are fleeting, scheduled to melt away in a month. It will open on July 29 and close on August 31, with admission for adults starting at $18. According to the Museum of Ice Cream website, its quirks "include a swimmable rainbow ‘sprinkle’ pool, edible balloons, an immersive chocolate room and a collaborative massive ice cream sundae. Guests will swing on an ice cream sandwich made for two, seesaw on an ice cream scooper and find their match/favorite flavor on a custom app in Tinder Land."

The museum uploaded some pastel-themed sneak peeks to their Instagram account. Here are some of the photos accompanied by basic historical facts about our favorite frozen sweet treats.
