Motorcyclist shot to death in Taguig City
A motorcyclist was shot to death late Wednesday night on V.P. Cruz Street in Taguig City's Barangay Lower Bicutan, Super Radyo dzBB's James Agustin reported.
The victim was identified as 52-year-old Jose Romarico Carpeña Jr., a resident of Barangay Bagumbayan.
Lower Bicutan resident Bernard Alto was also injured during the shooting - hit on the knee by a stray bullet. Alto was rushed to the Taguig-Pateros District Hospital and is stable.
Though there were no witnesses to the shooting, residents heard the gunshots.
Police investigators recovered eight 9mm and .45 caliber casings from the crime scene. They also found six packets of alleged shabu in Carpeña's pockets.

Residents claimed to know Carpeña to be a drug pusher. His parents admitted as much, recounting that he refused to stop selling illegal drugs. — DVM, GMA News
