Drug suspect kills cop in Taguig City

An escaping drug suspect killed a policeman in Taguig City on Sunday afternoon.

Sources at theTaguig City Police Station  Police officer 1 Jovy Elchico said Elchico was shot in the head by drug suspect Alvin Alcantara during a chase in Barangay Calzada.

Elchico and two other policemen caught Alcatara red-handed during a shabu session  that same afternoon. He was with two other men at the time, but instead of giving himself up quietly, he decided to make a run for it with Elchico following closely.

Alcantara's companions -  Jimmuel John Olmedo and Joseli Nemis - did not resist arrest.

Police seized plastic sachets containing shabu and several drug paraphernalia during the operation.
