Duterte skips National Heroes Day rites at Libingan ng mga Bayani

President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday skipped the celebration of the National Heroes Day at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City, Malacañang said.

Duterte’s spokesperson Salvador Panelo said the President could not grace the event and that he would be represented by Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano.

Former top presidential aide and now Senator Christopher “Bong” Go told reporters that Duterte was “indisposed” but assured the public that there is nothing to worry about.

Duterte had previously skipped events either due to mild ailment or bad weather.
