‘One of the Baes’ becomes #1 trending topic on Twitter nationwide

Looks like everyone is "One of the Baes."

GMA-7's exciting new TV show starring Rita Daniela and Ken Chan immediately became the #1 trending topic on Twitter nationwide after premiering Monday night.

The hilarious Roderick Paulate, who made his showbiz comeback on the show, also cracked Twitter's top 20 Philippine trends.

"One of the Baes" is a romantic comedy series which follows the story of Jowalyn (Rita Daniela), a goal driven aspiring sea captain who meets Grant (Ken Chan), an environmental vlogger.

With the RitKen tandem's undeniable on-screen chemistry and the show's strong supporting cast, the primetime teleserye also aims to shine a light on the lives of Filipino seafarers.

In a video posted on Instagram, Rita and Ken sent their love to all who tuned in to the show's pilot episode and talked about it on Twitter.

"Salamat sa lahat ng mga nanood ng unang pusod ng One of the Baes. Maraming-maraming salamat sa lahat ng nag-tweet. Sana po kumapit lang po kayo at huwag kayong bibitaw sa story nina Jowa at ni Grant," Ken said in a video on his Instagram account.

"Maraming-maraming salamat sa suporta niyo, ramdam na ramdam namin, sobra," Rita added.
