Father of slain OFW in Kuwait wants death for killer
Manila—The father of Jeanelyn Villavende, the OFW who was killed in Kuwait last December, wants death for the suspect in the murder of his daughter.
Interviewed Thursday by GMA News Online while awaiting for the arrival of his daughter's remains at the airport, Abelardo Villavende said he wants death for the killer.

"Gusto ko talaga sir, ibitay talaga eh," Abelardo said when asked what punishment he wants to serve justice for his daughter.
Jeanelyn was reported killed in the last week of December 2019, and the wife of her Kuwaiti employer has been tagged as the suspect.
Also Abelardo said they are determined to pursue justice for his daughter, who worked as a household helper in Kuwait.
Jeanelyn's stepmother said the victim was able to send money three times before when was killed.
Jeanelyn's family is planning to hold a 15-day wake after the National Bureau of Investigation is done with the autopsy on her remains.
OWWA Administrator Hans Cadac, who was among those waiting for Jeanelyn's remains at the airport, assured the family that the government is monitoring the investigation on the case, and will make sure that justice will be served.
"Ang ating pamahalaan ay naka monitor sa proceedings ng Kuwait para sa hustisya number one para sa pamilya at sa sambayanang Pilipino," Cacdac said. —Ronaldo Concha/LBG, GMA News
