Fed up with teasing, Grade 9 student ends up killing classmate

A Grade 9 student in Talisay City, Cebu has died after he was beaten up by a classmate, who got fed up with his teasing, Saleema Refran reported on Saksi.

Grade 9 student Cegie Galicia, 18, has been detained at the city jail after beating to death his 15-year-old classmate Nash Empaces.

The police said the rift between the students started with them teasing each other.

Empaces would constantly tease Galicia, calling him "bakla (gay)" even in front of a group of people.

Galicia in turn would call his classmate, "Kalbo (bald headed)."

The police related that Galicia and Empaces agreed to meet at the basketball on Thursday evening.

When they met, Galicia suddenly punched Empaces until the latter fell to the ground.

The victim was brought to the hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.

"Grabe siya ka-bully sa chat," said Galicia.

"Humihingi ako ng tawad. Wala talaga akong intensyon na patayin siya," he added.

The suspect will face the charge of homicide. — BAP, GMA News
