Mother, infant killed in Bulacan truck crash

A 17-year-old mother and her 3-month old baby were killed after being hit by a truck in Bulacan, according to Chino Gaston's Tuesday report on 24 Oras.

The truck, which was transporting a backhoe, headed down a street in Barangay Santo Cristo in San Jose Del Monte before smashing into several cars and careening towards the side of the road and crashing into several establishments.

According to the Bulacan Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, the mother and child were the only fatalities in the crash.

"Kanina umiiyak, ngayon wala na. Hindi na gumagalaw," a bystander was heard saying in a video.

Nine people were also injured, including a bicyclist and another woman. All of the injured were brought to different hospitals.
