A Filipino migrant worker, who exhibited symptoms of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), left the town of Glan in Sarangani province before being tested for the virus that causes the disease, according to a report on Saksi.
The Sarangani Provincial Health Office said the female migrant worker arrived in the Philippines last February 29, 2020.
She went straight to Glan with her 10-year-old child.
The child is now under observation for symptoms for COVID-19.
The health office said it is possible that the overseas Filipino worker may have already travelled back to Japan.
The Bureau of Quarantine was already informed of the incident so the OFW can be placed in the watchlist. — BAP, GMA News
