Overnight rains in Metro Manila and nearby areas left several commuters stranded as some parts of the metropolis were flooded, according to reports on GMA News’ "Unang Balita" on Thursday.

Rain prevailed in Caloocan, Navotas, and Malabon, soaking some commuters and cyclists who were not ready with their raincoats and umbrellas.

GMA News' Darlene Cay reported that commuter Hernani Ayen was forced to take the taxi as only few buses and jeepneys were available.

Some of the commuters stayed under footbridges waiting for the downpour to stop.

In Parañaque City, rains were also experienced in the MIA Road area. Roads from Quezon City to Parañaque City were drenched after hours of rain.

Light to moderate rains were experienced in Quezon City that led to flooding on parts of the Elliptical Road.

Downpours were experienced in East Avenue, Commonwealth Avenue, and some parts of EDSA.

Due to the bad weather, a van crashed into a barrier in MRT7 construction project, damaging its front par.

According to GMA resident meteorologist Nathaniel "Mang Tani" Cruz, yellow rainfall warning was raised over Bataan and Pampanga on Thursday morning due to the Low Pressure Area that enhances the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

Light to moderate rains can be experienced in Bulacan, Zambales, and Cavite.

Rainy weather is expected over the big part of Luzon. Intermittent heavy rains are expected over Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa.
