Two dead in Muntinlupa fire suspected to have started from candle left on altar
Two people died in a fire that hit a residential area in Muntinlupa City on Friday night.
The fire claimed the lives of a Maricel Asido, 56, and her uncle Zozimo Asido, 73, according to a report by Luisito Santos on Dobol B sa News TV on Saturday.
Fire officials said the fire started past 6 p.m. in Camella Homes in Barangay Putatan.
The first alarm was raised at 6:24 p.m.
The fire was placed under control at 7:10 p.m. and was declared put out at 7:17 p.m.

Fire officials said the victims were trapped in their house and were not able to evacuate in time since Zozimo was paralyzed
Investigation is ongoing as to the cause of the fire, but one of the possible causes being probed is a candle left on an altar inside one of the rooms in the victims' house.
Two other houses were also affected in the fire.
Damage is estimated to reach P1 million. —KG, GMA News
